This year’s The Rise of Eastern Culture will start with Another Dimension in Białystok from 25 to 28 August, 2020.

The Another Dimension festival has been around since 2007. In 2013, it appeared in a new setting as part of the Rise of Eastern Culture project, which is a form of cultural cooperation between three cities of eastern Poland (Białystok, Lublin and Rzeszów) with the Eastern Partnership countries. From the beginning of its existence, it presents the richness of multiculturalism of Podlasie, in particular Białystok. It promotes the idea of ​​dialogue and tolerance in a culturally diverse city, where Poles, Russians, Belarusians, Tatars, Ukrainians, Lithuanians, Jews and Germans coexisted for centuries. Restores the memory of the lost, while showing contemporary achievements, combines history with contemporary artistic activity.

During the festival, artists coming from various nationalities and cultures, including those who have co-created the history and culture of the region, always present their works.

The Rise of Eastern Culture is carried out by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, the National Center for Culture and the cities of Rzeszów, Lublin and Białystok. The undertaking takes place thanks to the involvement of creative communities and local governments of eastern Poland.
